Last time, we’ve already introduced everybody to Gakido. There’s another ninja who is also quite popular, and that is Wind Blade Asuma. Who is this ninja and how does he fare in lineups? Let’s take a look.
First, let’s look at Wind Blade Asuma’s skills:
Mystery: [Prompt] Cause ninjutsu and taijutsu damage to at most 3 units from the opposing lineup and cause knockdown to the selected target.
Standard attack: Attack the enemy units in the front row and maybe cause repulsion. If the repulsion was successful, those who were repulsed would cause damage to those in the following row.
Passive Skill 1 Courage: Add chakras by 20 points at the beginning of combat.
Passive Skill 2 Fire Style—Burning Ash: Chase and attack the repulsed enemy and cause knockdown and blindness.
Passive Skill 3 Pose of Invincibility: Significantly increase the ninjutsu and attack attributes for all ninjas with full life in your own lineup.
Now let’s look at regular Asuma’s skills:
Mystery Skills: Cause wind attribute damage and knockdown to enemy units. Doesn’t cost anything and cooldownbecomes unnecessary when chakra points are higher than 70.
Standard Attack: Attack the front row enemy and maybe cause a triple combo as well as repulsion.
Passive Skill 1 Courage: Add 20 chakra points at the beginning of combat to your own lineup.
Passive Skill 2 Fire Style—Burning Ash: Chase and attack the repulsed enemy and cause knockdown and blindness.
Passive Skill 3 Chakra Blade: When you have at least 20 chakra points, increase your lineup’s ninjutsu and combo rate by 1% for every additional chakra point you have.
Let’s compare the two ninjas in the following passages:
The ranking of regular Asuma’s mystery skill is higher than that of Wind Blade Asuma’s because regular Asuma doesn’t need to spend or cooldown when he has 70 or more chakra points. This is good in the later stages of the game.
The ranking of Wind Blade Asuma’s standard attack is higher than that of regular Asuma’s because Wind Blade Asuma can apply his standard attack on the three units in the front row and can cause very good output in ranked battles and 1v1 battles.
The chase and attack skills of Wind Blade Asuma is on a par with that of regular Asuma. Both Wind Blade Asuma and regular Asuma’s chase and attack can cause blindness, so they are pretty much the same.
Passive Skill 1: Wind Blade Asuma = regular Asuma.
Passive Skill 2: On the basis of groups, Wind Blade Asuma holds an edge over regular Asuma in terms of passive skill 2. In other words, Wind Blade Asuma has relative advantage in group output. But on the basis of individual output, regular Asuma is absolutely stronger than Wind Blade Asuma. Except here the game is played in groups and not individually. That said, Wind Blade Asuma’s key passive skill is actually in enhancing the entire lineup’s ninjutsu and taijutsu attributes.
Recommended Configurations:
Wind Blade Asuma is most well-suited to be matched with Midnight Blade and Scarlet Blaze.
Shurado + Sasori + Wind Blade Asuma + Midnight Blade
Wind Blade Asuma’s Pose of Invincibility can help Shurado, Sasori and Midnight Blade to apply horrific outputs. If Midnight Blade is in position 1, he can kill 1.5 enemy units (1 dead and 1 injured) in 4 hits. Moreover, Shuradocal also interrupt the opposing team’s mystery skill in the first round.
Shurado + Sasori + Wind Blade Asuma + Scarlet Blaze
Shurado + Guy + Wind Blade Asuma + Midnight Blade
Wind Blade Asuma + Kimimaro + Shizune + Azure Fang
Stack up poisons for impressive effects.
So, the point implied here within is that Wind Blade Asuma is an all-match ninja and pretty much goes well anybody. This winner is worth your time.
