Firstly, we would like to thank you all for the patience you showed concerning this week’s Consumption Wheel event.
We did receive several reports on the Consumption Wheel event; unfortunately, in order to give you a precise answer on what the error was, it took us a long and extensive time to further investigate it. After thoroughly investigating it, we can gladly say the bug in the Consumption Wheel event has been fixed. The bug that occurred was as follows:
On Monday, we started to receive reports that many players were consecutively receiving Coupons*50, this occurrence triggered a further bug in the event’s system.
This incident resulted in incorrect data from the Draws being sent to the servers, thus the Prize Pool starting to increase. As the Prize Pool increased, the number of participants in the event who wished to get even better rewards from the Prize Pool also dramatically increased; causing the servers to become unstable. As the servers became more and more unstable, the servers eventually crashed and maintenance was required (this is why we chose to do a sudden maintenance yesterday).
At the moment, we have already fixed the error which occurred during the Consumption Wheel event and we will compensate all the affected players. Once the event is over, we will gradually review who the affected players are in order to send players a compensation.
This bug affected the participating players in different time periods for the different servers:
· HK servers: Monday 00:00 to Tuesday 15:00 (server time);
· UK servers: Monday 00:00 to Tuesday 08:00 (server time);
· NY servers: Monday 00:00 to Tuesday 03:00 (server time);
· LA servers: Monday 00:00 to Tuesday 00:00 (server time).
We will compensate the participants and affected players during the bug period in Coupons*5 for each Draw (Ingots*20).
For example: if a player drew 50 times in the Consumption Wheel during the bug period (Ingots*1000), the player will be given a compensation of Coupons*250.
As we mentioned above, when the event is over, we will verify how many participants were affected and how many Ingots were spent by the affected participants.
In our last Official Statement, we stated that we were going to provide all players with two new level gift packs: Level 80 Gift Pack and Level 90 Gift Pack. We also stated that these two packs were not available in the Chinese version of Naruto Online; what we meant with this statement is that these two Gift Packs were not available when the Chinese version (currently version 4.0) was at the same stage as our current Naruto Online’s English version of the game (currently version 2.0). We are truly sorry for any misunderstanding and we should have made this statement clear from the start.
We would like to deeply apologize for this occurrence; we would also like to say that we share the deepest gratitude and respect for our players. Your opinions and suggestions are what make us move forward and further improve our service. At the same time, we would like to inform you all that we have sent all players a THANK YOU gift in commemoration of the happy ending of "Naruto Shippuden", which was broadcasted last week in Japan. We hope to grow and learn together with all of you, in the same way Naruto and his generation grew stronger and stronger!
